For those interested in learning more about someone's life story... and those interested in the world of podcasting!
Hey Story Keepers!
We've had something brewing in the background for quite a while, and we're so thrilled to share that...
WE STARTED A PODCAST!
7 Questions, a podcast inspired by Hear Your Story journals, is coming to you on October 13th!
7 Questions takes you on a journey through the lives of people who have lived storied lives, using seven questions from the Tell Your Life Story guided journal.
We are so thrilled to introduce this platform to you because it’s a new way to hold space for interesting, inspiring, thrilling, and thought-provoking conversations about people’s life stories.
We are lucky to have a few incredibly talented team members with experience in the podcast space.
So today, you’ll hear from Abbey, Madeleine, and Robin, who will share their experiences bringing 7 Questions to life!

Q: What has been the most memorable part of working on 7 Questions?
Abbey:
This is a funny question because the memory that popped to mind is going to really give people the behind-the-scenes.
Madeleine and I were in a meeting talking about the podcast, and Madeleine received a message from Robin saying that they were going to break episodes in half (without talking to anyone else about it). I said, “Book a meeting with Robin now,” and scared Robin (unintentionally).
Since Robin is very community-based, my dig at them to let it sink in was: “You’re being really individualistic right now. What? So you have to do all the work? Let us help you!”
Everything got sorted out really quickly… we straightened it all out, and it ended up staying as one big episode.
What’s funny about this is that we’re all friends outside of work, and everyone knows that I can go into work Abbey mode (No forgiveness necessary; I am who I am).

Q: How would you describe the overall experience of developing 7 Questions?
Madeleine:
It’s been really exciting for me because it engages the creative side of my brain: to reach out to people who are interesting and dynamic.
And it engages the logical part of my brain to actually execute. It’s crunchy in a good way!
I believe that as a whole, everyone has a story worth telling. The life you’ve created is your life, and it’s worth telling. You don’t have to be a “certain type of person” to have the value of your story told.
Through this experience, I really saw that there is no one linear path, and 7 Questions proves it.
Even if someone ends up in a job that they wanted, the path that they took to get there looks so different from someone else in that job.
Paths are so non-linear and individualistic for each person.

Q: Why is now a good time for people to tune in to 7 Questions?
Robin:
I think a lot of people are feeling lonely right now. There was a pocket of time during COVID, as horrendous as it was, where everyone tried to have a community; to forge a group of people that they rely on and depend on. And now, we’re back to real life, but still feeling so separate from everyone.
Why?
Because we don’t know them. We don’t have this aspect of community around us. The reason this podcast is so important right now is that it’s really showing the power of community.
I also think that most people have a moment in their life that they can talk about excitedly, and it’s a story that will never be replicated by anyone else. Those stories deserve to be shared.
